Hera, Emily, and Brayden's Plant Experiment
Observations and Measurement:
We planted the seeds on October 25th and ended the project at November 14th. The controlled plant sprouted first on October 28th, while the Variable plant sprouted October 30th or the 31st. On November 1st it was already at 15mm. We watered the Variable plant with 5ml of orange juice everyday. By November 14th, our end date, our Controlled plant was 85mm. Our Variable plant was only 30mm. We noticed that a couple of days into this experiment there were many fruit flies buzzing around the Variable plant. |
Hypothesis:
If you water the plant with orange juice, then it will grow faster than a plant watered with water. Conclusion: The plant with orange juice, the Variable plant, did not grow faster than the plant watered with water, the Controlled plant. Infact, it grew slower. In conclusion, our hypothesis was incorrect. |
